Delete your account

You can have your Lernela account and all learning data attached to it permanently deleted. This page explains what is removed and how to ask.
Fastest: delete it in the app
Open Account in the app, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. It asks you to confirm, then removes everything immediately. The email route below exists for when you no longer have the app installed.
How to request deletion
- Email us from the address you signed in with, with the subject Delete my account.
- If you signed in with Apple and used Hide My Email, send it from that private relay address so we can match the account.
- We confirm the request, delete the data, and reply to say it is done — normally within 30 days and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity
- All flashcards, decks and saved words stored in your account
- XP, streak, level and lesson progress
- Statistics synced from your devices
- Any feedback you sent that is linked to your account
What is kept, and why
- Aggregated analytics that cannot be traced back to you — these carry no personal data and cannot be separated out.
- Purchase and billing records held by Google Play or Apple, which we do not control and which tax law requires them to retain.
- Anonymous daily usage counters, which expire on their own within a day.
Data on your own device
Deleting your account removes the copy on our servers. The copy on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app, or by clearing the app's storage in your system settings.
Never signed in?
Then there is nothing for us to delete — your learning data has only ever existed on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it.
