Using the app

You may use Lernela to learn English, on any device you own. You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.

Please do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, resell access to it, or use automated tools to pull the learning content out of it. The lessons, audio, illustrations and text are ours or licensed to us, and are not yours to redistribute.

Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, keep it secure — anyone signed in as you can see and change your learning data.

You can delete your account at any time, and doing so deletes the learning data attached to it. See the account deletion page.

Subscriptions and payment

Lernela is free to start. A Premium subscription unlocks the full library, more AI practice, more speaking attempts and removes ads.

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. Payment is taken at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Manage or cancel from your store account. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the period you have already paid for runs out.

Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy. We cannot issue a refund for a purchase we did not process, but tell us if something went wrong and we will help you with the store.

Free-tier limits

The free tier includes daily allowances for speaking attempts and AI practice sessions. These exist because each one costs us money per use, and they may be adjusted over time to keep the free tier sustainable.

If you hit a limit you are told what it is. You are never charged automatically for exceeding one.

What the app does not promise

Lernela is a learning aid. We cannot guarantee you will reach a particular level, pass a particular exam, or that pronunciation scores match a human examiner's judgement.

Translations, AI replies and machine-generated audio can be wrong. Treat them as practice material, not as authoritative reference.

The app is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending things

You can stop using Lernela at any time by deleting your account and removing the app. We may suspend access if someone is abusing the service or attacking it, and we will explain why where we reasonably can.

Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and tell you inside the app when a change is significant. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
